It’s officially fall! Some may call it sweater weather, spooky season, or autumn. Fall is probably my favorite season of the year – here in Southern California it’s still warm enough to wear short sleeves and even sandals, but I love all of the activities & food that come with fall.
The start of fall is always a bit sad for me because it means summer is over, but fall comes with pumpkins, apple cider, sweaters, boots & other cozy things that you can’t beat!
Last week I had my first of many fall food hauls from Trader Joe’s, so today I wanted to share some of my favorite staples to last me all season long!
This doesn’t look like much, but trust me: I’m that person who buys 6+ pumpkin bread mixes when they first come out so I’m all stocked up 😉
So, let’s get started!
Maple Sea Salt Kettle Corn – this was absolutely AHmazing! The flavor & maple crunch is addicting & my family finished a whole bag the other nothing. A little bit goes a long ways because it’s pretty rich, but it’s such a yummy treat!
Pumpkin O’s – I don’t usually like cereal, but for some reason these pumpkin O’s get me every time! The flavor is strong but not overpowering, and they are so yummy with some almond milk.
Pumpkin and Gourd Pasta Sauce – I had this for dinner last night over grated spaghetti squash, and it was SO yummy! The flavor was so rich but it still felt like a healthy meal – not too heavy at all!
Pumpkin Pirouettes – this long and thin cookie filled with creamy pumpkin goodness is so yummy! You can dip it in warm almond milk for a nice fall treat.
Pumpkin Pancakes – oh my goodness, I couldn’t rave anymore about these pancakes. They are so easy to make, and they are such a yummy treat to enjoy on a nice crisp morning. Adding some almond butter & maple syrup (thanks for the tip Katelyn 😉) is amazing too!
Pumpkin Loaf Mix – I could seriously talk about this mix for hours. There is truly nothing better & more iconic than Trader Joe’s pumpkin bread. The texture, flavor & everything about it makes me so excited for cold weather.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookie Mix – I have yet to make these cookies, but I’ve heard so many good things about them! Plus, what can honestly go wrong when combing gooey chocolate chip cookies with a dash of pumpkin spice?!
Pumpkin Waffles – I always love a good toaster waffle, but add some pumpkin and woohoo! It’s fall in a tiny pastry 🙌🏼
Pumpkin Purée – We lOVE adding this pumpkin purée to our pumpkin bread – it makes it so moist & flavorful! Love it.
Thank you so much for reading & I hope you enjoy all of this fall food • fall is my favorite season & part the the reason of love it is all of the yummy food and cozy time spent with friends and family!
